Teams may run, walk or use COTA to travel to challenge locations. No other forms of travel are permitted.
No cars, roller blades, scooters, motorcycles, Segways, skateboards, taxis, bikes, etc…are allowed.


You must compete as part of a two-person team with both teammates together throughout the entire race.


ALL racers must sign a waiver and release in order to participate in the race. You can download the Rules & Waiver here.


Since some challenges may require you to take a photo, each team must bring a camera or a camera phone. At the end of the race you must be able to show the required photos.


Teams may call friends for help solving clues or use internet enabled devices.


If more than one team is present at a challenge location at the same time, the teams will complete the challenge in the order they arrived.


The Pointless Pursuit winner is the first team to cross the finish line after successfully completing the required challenges.


The Pointless Pursuit staff reserves the right to disqualify any participant or team for any violation of the rules at any time. Such decision is at their sole discretion.


Participants are responsible for their actions and the consequences of those actions during The Pointless Pursuit.


There are no refunds.


All rulings of the Race Official will be final.
